Was skeptical at first. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. Shipping was quick too.
Finally got around to ordering this. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. Happy enough with the purchase.
Was skeptical at first. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. Still worth having on the shelf.
Took a chance on it after reading the description here. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks. My only quibble is that the middle third sags a little. Good, with the caveats above.
