🖋 The Editorial Desk
Horror Reads is curated by a small editorial team — readers and lifelong fans of the genre.
The catalog covers the map: the gothic and the Victorian ghost story, weird and cosmic horror, the paperback boom, psychological and literary horror, dark fantasy, horror comics and true crime. For each book we try to answer one question honestly — who is this for, and who should skip it.
We write our own descriptions and short editorial reviews from the publisher's information and each edition's facts, and the Horror Reads Score is built from that review plus published reader ratings where a book has them. We are adding reviews to more of the catalog every week.
