A collection of three explicit erotic tales featuring romantic encounters with objects and vehicles.

Tingle organizes this anthology to showcase his signature tingler format through distinct scenarios involving transportation and fashion. The first story involves a commercial flight leading to a meeting with an aircraft in Beverly Hills. The second narrative centers on a writer who finds inspiration and passion aboard a train named Dylan during a trip across America. 📝 Description: Chuck's Living Object Tinglers: Volume 21

Chuck Tingle presents Volume 21 of his Living Object Tinglers series, a collection of three explicit erotic tales featuring inanimate or non-human entities as romantic partners. The author is known for creating tinglers, stories defined by their sensual and gay themes that challenge conventional romance literature norms. The anthology includes Taken by the Gay Unicorn Biker, where Alex travels from New York to Los Angeles and meets a billionaire aircraft at his Beverly Hills home. Trained by the Living Biker Train follows Jeff, an author seeking inspiration who sparks a relationship with a train named Dylan in Chicago and an abandoned yard. Pounded by the Gay Color Changing Dress features Kent, a man navigating the dating scene, who encounters a dress that changes color. This volume targets readers interested in niche erotic fiction involving objectophilia or anthropomorphized romance. It suits those familiar with Tingle’s specific style of homoerotic supernatural narratives. Readers seeking traditional human-to-human romance or non-erotic horror will likely find this content unsuitable.

Horror desk
This volume is strictly for fans of Chuck Tingle’s specific brand of homoerotic supernatural narratives. It caters exclusively to readers comfortable with explicit content involving inanimate entities as romantic partners. Traditionalists seeking human-to-human romance or conventional horror plots will find this unsuitable, as it lacks standard narrative structures. The anthology does not appeal to those averse to objectophilia themes or the author’s distinct stylistic choices. While it successfully delivers on its promise of three explicit tales, its narrow target audience limits its broader literary merit. It is a functional collection for a specific fetish niche rather than a general horror recommendation.

Very good

Grabbed it for a long flight. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted.

Almost perfect

Needed a good scare and got one. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. The font runs small in this edition.

Good addition to the shelf

Needed a good scare and got one. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. The font runs small in this edition. Recommended with reservations.

Decent

Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. The font runs small in this edition.

Mixed feelings

Grabbed it for a long flight. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks. Solid, if not essential.

Absolutely not. The series is explicitly defined by its sensual and sexual themes involving inanimate objects, making it unsuitable for those avoiding erotic literature.
This is not traditional horror. It features supernatural romance and surreal fantasy where items like trains or dresses become romantic partners, focusing on affection rather than fear.

📜 Historical context

Chuck Tingle carved a unique lane in speculative fiction by merging gay erotica with absurd objectophilia. His 'tinglers' defy genre boundaries, blending surreal humor with explicit sensual narratives involving non-human entities. This volume extends that legacy, challenging normative romance structures through imaginative, boundary-pushing anthropomorphism.
