Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. My only quibble is that the middle third sags a little. Happy enough with the purchase.
Wanted something for October and it delivered. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight.
Wanted something for October and it delivered. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. My only quibble is that the middle third sags a little. Good, with the caveats above.
A friend from my book club recommended it. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. Recommended with reservations.
Finally got around to ordering this. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. Would buy from this store again.
Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted.
