Finally got around to ordering this. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Wanted something for October and it delivered. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Gorier than the description lets on, if that matters to you.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. One of my better finds this year.
Grabbed it for a long flight. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it.
