Was skeptical at first. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. Glad I finally picked this up.
Been meaning to get this one for a while. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it.
Took a chance on it after reading the description here. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. Great value for what you get.
