This has been on my wishlist for months. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. If you like this kind of cooking, don't hesitate.
Added this to the shelf next to the ones I reread. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins.
Ordered it for Halloween and it came in time. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
Needed a good scare and got one. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. The font runs small in this edition. Good, with the caveats above.
Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. Belongs in any working kitchen.
A friend from my book club recommended it. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. Belongs in any working kitchen.
