First order from this shop. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. A keeper.
I read a lot of horror and I'm picky. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. Still worth having on the shelf.
I read a lot of horror and I'm picky. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. A couple of the side characters are thinly drawn. Recommended with reservations.
Needed a good scare and got one. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks. Happy enough with the purchase.
Finally got around to ordering this. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one. One of my better finds this year.
First order from this shop. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Glad I finally picked this up.
