Finally got around to ordering this. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. Well worth it.
Ordered it for Halloween and it came in time. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. Well worth it.
Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. My only quibble is that the middle third sags a little. Still worth having on the shelf.
Finally got around to ordering this. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. Glad I finally picked this up.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Happy enough with the purchase.
