A friend from my book club recommended it. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. Highly recommend.
Finally got around to ordering this. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. Shipping was quick too.
Got it as a gift for a friend who loves the genre. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. Glad I finally picked this up.
I read a lot of horror and I'm picky. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks. A couple of the side characters are thinly drawn. Good, with the caveats above.
