The Vampire Vivienne: A Vampire Legacy Novel

Karen E Taylor presents a narrative centered on Vivienne Courbet, a vampire born in 1702 and transformed in 1720. The story follows her survival through numerous wars, revolutions, and the loss of friends and lovers as decades become centuries. Vivienne thrives in this existence until she assumes leadership of The Cadre, an international organization of vampires. This appointment triggers chaos when a previously unknown group called The Others declares war on all vampires. The conflict escalates rapidly, threatening the extermination of every vampire. With assistance from her blood sister Deirdre and the ancient memories of Victor, Vivienne attempts to rally the remaining living members of the Cadre. They must confront this ancient evil before it is too late. The novel draws upon historical periods marked by significant upheaval, reflecting the long lifespan of its protagonist. It examines the dynamics within a secret society facing an existential threat. The narrative focuses on survival, leadership under pressure, and the endurance of immortality against overwhelming odds. Readers interested in supernatural fiction featuring long-lived protagonists navigating political and military conflicts will find this work relevant. Those seeking lighthearted or purely romantic vampire tales may find the tone too serious. The book relies on character interaction and strategic maneuvering rather than extensive world-building exposition.
