A graphic anthology adapting H. P. Lovecraft's macabre short stories for visual readers.
This volume translates Lovecraft's written nightmares into a visual format. The book organizes his tales by pairing text with artwork from various creators. It focuses on the atmospheric dread found in works like The Call of Cthulhu. The adaptation style emphasizes the eerie and supernatural aspects of the original texts. This approach makes the complex themes of inherited guilt more accessible through imagery. The collection does not add new stories but reimagines existing ones. It is designed for those who appreciate the intersection of literature and visual art.
Published in 2011 by Selfmadehero, this UK edition brings Lovecraft's early twentieth-century horror to a modern graphic audience. It sits within the tradition of adapting classic gothic fiction for contemporary readers who seek visual interpretations of supernatural tales.

Finished it over a stormy weekend, which helped. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Definitely recommend.
Wanted something for October and it delivered. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Grabbed it for a long flight. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. Highly recommend.
Finally got around to ordering this. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
