Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. The cover feels thinner than expected. Happy enough with the purchase.
Wanted something for October and it delivered. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. The cover feels thinner than expected.
Took a chance on it after reading the description here. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. Already eyeing my next order.
