Finished it over a stormy weekend, which helped. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one. Five stars from me.
Been meaning to get this one for a while. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. The font runs small in this edition. Still worth having on the shelf.
This has been on my wishlist for months. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks. Five stars from me.
Was skeptical at first. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. A keeper.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Highly recommend.
Got it as a gift for a friend who loves the genre. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid.
