⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
I read a lot of horror and I'm picky. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. Well worth it.
Ordered it for Halloween and it came in time. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks. If you like this kind of cooking, don't hesitate.
Added this to the shelf next to the ones I reread. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Five stars from me.
Grabbed it for a long flight. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. One of my better finds this year.
A friend from my book club recommended it. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. Recommended with reservations.
