⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
Took a chance on it after reading the description here. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. A couple of the side characters are thinly drawn. Still worth having on the shelf.
This has been on my wishlist for months. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks.
Finished it over a stormy weekend, which helped. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Good, with the caveats above.
