Grabbed it for a long flight. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. My only quibble is that the middle third sags a little. Good, with the caveats above.
First order from this shop. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. It assumes some familiarity with the genre's tropes. Solid, if not essential.
Finally got around to ordering this. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. One of my better finds this year.
Grabbed it for a long flight. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Already eyeing my next order.
Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. Great value for what you get.
Was skeptical at first. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. Glad I finally picked this up.
