While listed under horror fiction due to an erroneous author attribution to Stephen King, this text is strictly a scholarly historical examination. It offers no supernatural elements, tension, or narrative thrills expected by readers of gothic or cosmic horror. The content is dry, academic, and focused entirely on the political and social impact of two Hungarian rulers using domestic sources. Consequently, it will disappoint anyone seeking entertainment, dark fantasy, or psychological dread. This volume is not suitable for general readers or fans of the horror genre. It is exclusively for historians and researchers willing to engage with dense, factual material regarding medieval Hungarian leadership and civilization.

Was skeptical at first. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. Happy enough with the purchase.

Very good

Was skeptical at first. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. Not a jump-scare book; it gets under the skin and stays there. Good, with the caveats above.

Mixed feelings

Been meaning to get this one for a while. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Gorier than the description lets on, if that matters to you. Recommended with reservations.
