Lyon, France, 1504. Beautiful young Marie LaRocque is raped by a Marquis and is now his property. Amsterdam, 1821. After falling in love with a young dancer in the vicious Klaas Ruysch's troupe, rabbinical student Julian DeVries is beaten and left for dead. Marie and Julian are each taken to the Otherworld, a timeless dimension where demon gods fashion servantsthey return to our reality. In this novel of gothic and erotic horror, Book One of the Visitors from the Otherworld series tells the story of the romance and conflicts of Julian DeVries, the demon sorcerer who fights for his soul as a special associate of the police assisting with "unusual" cases and Marie LaRocque, vampire. The two Visitors reunite in present-day Wayvern Falls, Ohio to stop the terrifying goddess of the night, who is putting people to sleep and death while creating servants of her own.

This novel caters specifically to fans of erotic gothic horror and cosmic dread. The premise of historical figures returning as supernatural entities offers a fresh take on the genre. However, it may not suit readers preferring fast-paced action or purely realistic fiction, as the tone is heavily reliant on slow-burn psychological and romantic conflict. Those uncomfortable with explicit content or complex mythological frameworks might find it challenging. It is best approached as part of a series rather than a standalone.
