The 8th Angel: Ascension

Johnny Blaze’s The 8th Angel: Ascension follows Kaine after his ascent into Heaven while battling the demonic Dhrovu. When Dhrovu infiltrates the celestial realm, Kaine leaves Jez behind on Earth and returns for her. This decision leaves the kingdom of Eden vulnerable to Dhrovu’s lingering presence. Kaine reunites with Pandora, and the pair travels across Earth, moving from Mexico to Singapore, in a desperate search for Jez. Their reunion is short-lived as they attempt to reenter Heaven but are caught in a space storm. They become stranded on the planet Galaxa-Ten, which is ruled by a nasty variety of vampire led by Lord Dominion. Kaine faces severe tests of heroism here, forced to fight for his life in the dangerous Gridiron of Combat against intergalactic criminals. The narrative tracks their struggle to survive this hostile environment while racing against time. The story centers on the conflict between celestial beings and demonic forces, blending supernatural fiction with science fiction elements. It suits readers who enjoy fast-paced adventures involving angels, demons, and alien worlds. Those seeking slow-burning gothic atmospheres or purely historical horror may find the shift to intergalactic combat jarring. The plot relies on physical confrontations and travel across distinct locations rather than psychological depth.
