📝 Description: Sudden-Onset Necrophilia
? Composed of dozens of vignettes showcasing every cryptid imaginable, from the famous (Bigfoot, Mothman) to the second-tier (Springheel Jack, Gef the Talking Mongoose) to the hopelessly obscure (Old Hitler, real life Frog Men), "Being in the Order of a Cryptid Conspectus", co-written by Weird Romance author (or is that weird Romance author?) Kimber Montgomery, serves as the centerpiece of this collection of tales to tickle and torment. Also featuring displaced dinosaurs, sinister mind control, rogue AI, questionable use of firearms, deranged game shows, altered fairy tales, high adventure, an infinite mansion, and (sigh) leprechauns from outer space.

This anthology is a chaotic mix of tones, ranging from genuine cosmic horror to outright parody with leprechauns from outer space. It suits readers who enjoy eclectic, pulp-style collections where absurdity balances dread. However, it does not suit those seeking a cohesive narrative arc or serious, sustained psychological tension. It is best approached as a casual browsing experience rather than a deep dive. If you enjoy Kimber Montgomery’s Weird Romance style, this collaborative effort offers a similar blend of romance tropes twisted by horror elements, though the sheer volume of disparate topics may alienate purists of any single genre.
