📝 Description: Stormfront

Skye Knizley’s Stormfront merges World War II history with supernatural thriller elements. The narrative shifts between 1943 and present-day Chicago. In the past, Himmler’s SS Paranormal Division seeks magical artifacts to build a vampire army for Hitler. In the present, protagonist Raven Storm investigates murders in Old Town after her conflict with the Harlequin. She teams up with Mack Mason to solve the case of an antiques dealer who wrote Black Eon in his blood. The victims appear as burned, bloodless corpses encased in concrete and brick. This novel appeals to readers interested in alternate history horror and urban fantasy mysteries. It draws on the tradition of Nazi occultism and modern detective fiction. The story focuses on Raven’s isolation from her usual support network and her reliance on Mason. The plot centers on identifying the threat known as Black Eon before it claims more lives. Fans of historical fiction with paranormal twists will find the setting compelling. Those preferring strictly realistic contemporary crime may find the supernatural elements jarring. The book does not offer a resolution to the global war, but rather a localized battle against dark forces.
