📝 Description: Stigmata Mania
What happens when it's up to a guitar-wielding heroine and her horror-loving, metalhead husband to save the world from three 1980s Christian culture icons? Will a mime seeking vengeance against the girl who broke his heart in high school find the satisfaction he seeks with the help of a surgically added appendage? Can Cher save the space-time continuum from the loveable, bumbling duo of Jesus and Thor after they've had too much weed and fish sticks? The answer to these questions and maybe the meaning of life await between the covers of this short collection! Recommended (like, totally!) if you enjoy R. J. Benetti, Rowland Bercey Jr., Carlton Mellick III, Simon McHardy, or the new wave of bizarro splatter!

Holbrook delivers a wild ride through the intersections of heavy metal aesthetics and sacred iconography. The collection excels in its commitment to absurdity, transforming biblical figures into stoner companions and exploring revenge plots with surgical appendages. While the premise may seem disjointed, the tone remains consistently irreverent and entertaining for the right audience. It suits readers who appreciate the transgressive work of Carlton Mellick III or Simon McHardy. The prose likely mirrors the frenetic energy of the plot points, ensuring that the horror elements serve the comedy rather than overshadow it. This is a niche but vibrant entry in modern splatter fiction.
