So Thirsty
✍️ Rachel HarrisonA wife and her best friend face eternal consequences after a wild birthday weekend.
The story centers on Sloane Parker, who dreads her birthday until her husband arranges a surprise getaway with Naomi. Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. One of my better finds this year.
Got it as a gift for a friend who loves the genre. Not a jump-scare book; it gets under the skin and stays there. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. Definitely recommend.
I read a lot of horror and I'm picky. Not a jump-scare book; it gets under the skin and stays there. Still worth having on the shelf.
Finally got around to ordering this. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. Glad I finally picked this up.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. My only quibble is that the middle third sags a little. Good, with the caveats above.
