Grabbed it for a long flight. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. Definitely recommend.
A friend from my book club recommended it. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. It assumes some familiarity with the genre's tropes. Good, with the caveats above.
First order from this shop. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks. The cover feels thinner than expected. Still worth having on the shelf.
Grabbed it for a long flight. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. If you like this kind of cooking, don't hesitate.
Finally got around to ordering this. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. Great value for what you get.
Needed a good scare and got one. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. It assumes some familiarity with the genre's tropes. Still worth having on the shelf.
