⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. A keeper.
Been meaning to get this one for a while. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks.
This has been on my wishlist for months. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
