Requiem

This novel distinguishes itself by focusing on the harrowing origins of vampire lore, specifically through Mica's perspective. By framing the narrative around surviving nightmares rather than achieving dreams, it establishes a tone of relentless psychological pressure and gothic despair. The book excels in establishing a sense of inevitable dread, appealing to readers who enjoy character-centric horror over plot twists. It suits those interested in the darker side of immortality and the emotional toll of such existence. While it serves as an origin story for a known chronicle, its strength lies in the personal struggle of the protagonist against supernatural forces.
