Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Still worth having on the shelf.
Grabbed it for a long flight. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Would buy from this store again.
Finally got around to ordering this. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. Well worth it.
Wanted something for October and it delivered. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. Gorier than the description lets on, if that matters to you. Good, with the caveats above.
Took a chance on it after reading the description here. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. Definitely recommend.
Took a chance on it after reading the description here. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. Five stars from me.
