Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. Definitely recommend.
Needed a good scare and got one. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
This has been on my wishlist for months. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Finished it over a stormy weekend, which helped. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Happy enough with the purchase.
Added this to the shelf next to the ones I reread. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Finished it over a stormy weekend, which helped. Not a jump-scare book; it gets under the skin and stays there. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
