📝 Description: Moondisc
MOONDISCby Derek HeathLet the hunt begin. A party of wealthy hunters meet at the estate of Wayne Roman; the adventurer has procured for them a selection of exotic creatures, now roaming the expansive grounds. The game: hunt and kill anything you can. The prize: the thrill of a lifetime. The catch: they're hunting you too. In this tale of mad science and devastating horror, 'exotic' takes on a brand new meaning. Abominations stalk the grounds, deadly beasts with unfathomable origins - but are they the creations of a madman? Or something much, much worse? Moondisc is the third novella from British horror author Derek Heath. Warning: this book contains graphic scenes, violence, and unspeakable terror. Bonus: this new edition comes with an additional short story, Time and the Bear. More at derekheathhorror.com.

It suits readers seeking unadulterated terror and visceral thrills rather than complex literary nuance. However, those expecting deep character development or subtle psychological horror may find the execution too blunt and the premise familiar. The book does not suit audiences sensitive to graphic violence or those who prefer atmospheric gothic tales over creature-feature action. It is a competent entry in the dark fantasy space, offering concentrated frights for the right audience, though it lacks the subtlety required for more discerning literary horror critics.
