📝 Description: Jimmy
High school can be a difficult time for a teenager, especially toward the end where one has to start making the sudden transition into adulthood. For Jimmy Hawthorn it is even worse. Not only does he need to successfully make that transition, he has to do it while hiding the fact that he is the one responsible for kidnapping two fellow high school students, both of whom are hanging from their wrists in a secret underground fallout shelter he discovered behind an abandoned house on the outskirts of town.

High school graduation is tough enough, but for Jimmy Hawthorn, the transition into adulthood involves a terrifying hidden life on the outskirts of town. William Malmborg crafts an intensely claustrophobic psychological horror centered on a teenager desperately concealing the two fellow students he has imprisoned in a secret underground fallout shelter. Rather than relying on supernatural monsters, the story taps into a deeply unsettling brand of realism, focusing on the chilling duality of a young person cracking under the weight of his own monstrous actions. It is a bleak, uncompromising narrative tailored for mature horror readers who appreciate psychological suspense and unflinching explorations of human darkness.
