Inhaling Feathers: A Surrealist Liminal Horror Novella

Franz Kafka meets The Backrooms in this weird and disorienting novella of surreal psychological horror. Thomas Blackburn's father is lying on the bed. He doesn't move, and that is because he's been dead for a little less than twenty minutes. For Thomas, this is the chance to start a new life under a new name: Thomas Blackbird. He is going to change his name and become a whole new person. Leaving his father's apartment, he heads to the city's document office to make the change official. Fighting his way through nonsensical procedures, he finds himself deep in the maw of the office basements, wandering a labyrinth of dusty corridors where every door conceals horrors both impossible and disturbingly familiar. And maybe the change that awaits him is even worse than the past he's trying to escape.
