Grabbed it for a long flight. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with. The font runs small in this edition. Happy enough with the purchase.
Added this to the shelf next to the ones I reread. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Took a chance on it after reading the description here. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. Definitely recommend.
Took a chance on it after reading the description here. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Happy enough with the purchase.
I read a lot of horror and I'm picky. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. A couple of the side characters are thinly drawn. Still worth having on the shelf.
Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. Well worth it.
