📝 Description: Finding Home: A Collection of Poetry

Finding Home is a raw poetry collection with no spine, written in tears and cars years ago. The author describes the work as having no spine, emphasizing its organic and unpolished nature. These verses emerged from moments of intense emotion, written with tears and while smoking in a car. The text reflects on experiences from years ago, which Harrison now views as belonging to a past life. The collection focuses on sharing deep personal emotions, including heartbreaks and stories, with the specific intent of helping readers process their own feelings. It invites the audience to experience pain, joy, and anger directly through the pages. This approach suits those seeking visceral emotional connection over formal literary technique. Readers looking for structured narrative or polished prose may find this disjointed format challenging. Harrison qualifies as an independent voice sharing personal history rather than a trained poet adhering to classical forms. The work draws on the tradition of confessional poetry, prioritizing authenticity and immediate emotional impact over aesthetic perfection. It appeals to individuals navigating their own grief or seeking validation for complex feelings. Those preferring detached observation or historical fiction will likely not connect with this intimate, first-person account of human vulnerability.

Took a chance on it after reading the description here. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. Glad I finally picked this up.

Excellent find

This has been on my wishlist for months. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. Already eyeing my next order.

Was skeptical at first. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Good, with the caveats above.
