Dragon Gems: Fall 2023

This volume compiles works from twenty-two different writers who specialize in supernatural and gothic themes. The publisher, Water Dragon Publishing, released this collection on October 13, 2023. The book targets readers who enjoy short fiction that evokes fear and unease. It excludes non-fiction or educational content about the horror genre. The anthology includes contributions from authors such as Brett Thomas Abrahamsen and Lauren Reynolds. Each story operates independently, allowing readers to engage with individual narratives without prior context. The collection reflects current trends in dark fiction publishing. It does not include interviews, author notes, or critical essays. The focus remains strictly on the fictional tales themselves. Readers looking for a dense academic study of horror tropes will not find that here. This book is purely a collection of imaginative prose designed to entertain and unsettle.
