⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
Been meaning to get this one for a while. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. A couple of the side characters are thinly drawn. Solid, if not essential.
I read a lot of horror and I'm picky. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it.
