Finally got around to ordering this. Not a jump-scare book; it gets under the skin and stays there. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. Still worth having on the shelf.
Grabbed it for a long flight. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. Shipping was quick too.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. Definitely recommend.
