Ordered it for Halloween and it came in time. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. Shipping was quick too.
Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
Was skeptical at first. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it.
