📝 Description: Brooklyn, Wheels and Zombies
When you're a cancer fighter who's just received a terminal prognosis, you're not that big on hope. And fighting the risen dead might just be the thing that kicks you over the edge. Mags Vissers's brief last vacation to the Big Apple morphs into a permanent nightmare when a killer virus sweeps the streets of the city and her fellow travelers start to show the frightening symptoms of a virus straight out of a zombie flick. On the run, Mags must elude the cause of the virus and the flesh-eating zombies it creates. A chance meeting with a wheelchair-bound girl named Ash forces Mags to dig deep within herself and discover not only a long-buried hunger for friendship, but also a glimmer of hope that she had thought could never live again. But what if the plague of walking dead isn't an accident, and what if Mags and Ash are just pawns in a deadly game that threatens the entire world? Together, Mags and Ash must fight to stay alive, one step ahead of zombies, crazed survivors, and a mysterious government cabal that may hold the secret to the virus's origins-and its cure.

This book targets fans of character-centric zombie thrillers who prefer emotional stakes over pure gore. However, it may disappoint readers seeking complex literary prose or nuanced political commentary, as the plot relies on familiar tropes of a mysterious cabal and sudden viral outbreaks. The premise is straightforward, offering adrenaline-fueled survival rather than intellectual rigor. It suits those who want a fast-paced, accessible read that balances horror with a touch of friendship drama. If you demand originality in world-building or subtlety in plotting, this conventional approach might feel thin. It is best for casual readers looking for an engaging, if predictable, ride through New York's undead streets.
