Been meaning to get this one for a while. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. The font runs small in this edition. Recommended with reservations.
Ordered it for Halloween and it came in time. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Was skeptical at first. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. Belongs in any working kitchen.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. Shipping was quick too.
Wanted something for October and it delivered. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. Shipping was quick too.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. If you like this kind of cooking, don't hesitate.
A friend from my book club recommended it. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. The cover feels thinner than expected. Happy enough with the purchase.
