📚 WHAT THE BOOK IS ABOUT

Two soldiers survive a zombie apocalypse in San Diego after their ship falls.

Long uses the collapse of military order to explore human resilience under extreme pressure. The story begins with the loss of the USS McClusky and follows Creed and Kelly as they adapt to civilian chaos. Their journey is defined by scarcity and constant threat rather than heroism. The narrative structure emphasizes the gradual expansion of their territory as resources dwindle. This method creates a sense of growing desperation without relying on external rescue or easy victories.
