Waxing Off: A Novella

Christman delivers a daring narrative that merges the visceral terror of werewolf lore with sharp socio-political critique. By positioning queer lycanthropes against TERFs, the text transforms personal identity struggles into epic, supernatural confrontations. The work excels in its unapologetic confrontation of hate groups, using horror elements to magnify the real-world violence of exclusion. It is best suited for readers who enjoy politically charged speculative fiction and those weary of traditional, heteronormative monster stories. The novella format allows for a focused, intense examination of these themes without dilution. While the premise is inherently controversial, the execution provides a compelling framework for discussing marginalization through the lens of cosmic and psychological horror. It stands as a significant contribution to modern dark fantasy.
