Undead Reckoning
A thriller about a car salesman hunted by the undead.
Patzer, the author behind this Blue Forge Press release, crafts a narrative where professional success masks a dangerous past. The plot hinges on a curse unleashed by a rival killer, turning Martin Simon into prey for both law enforcement and the dead. Bibi joins him in flight, creating a duo dynamic under extreme pressure. The story avoids complex world-building in favor of immediate danger. It explores how a single secret can collapse a stable life. The undead are not background elements but active hunters with specific goals. This approach keeps the tension high and the scope tight.
Published in September 2023, this work sits within the modern horror tradition of supernatural thriller fiction. It draws on gothic themes of past sins returning to haunt the present. The setting reflects contemporary American anxieties about identity and consequence.
