Trial of Ice
A princess seeks northern approval while battling magical shadows in this fantasy sequel.
Stephen King’s Trial of Ice presents Crown Princess Alyssa facing severe challenges in her quest for recognition. The text focuses on her journey northward, where she encounters powerful enemies hiding in the darkness. Her survival depends entirely on the magical abilities she inherited. Dragon Tale Publishing released this volume to continue the Elf Queen of Kiirajanna saga. The narrative structure emphasizes internal conflict and external danger rather than broad world-building. Readers will find a story centered on duty and the burden of royal lineage. The prose avoids whimsical elements, opting instead for a serious tone that matches the perilous setting. This approach distinguishes it from lighter fantasy fare.
Published in 2015 by Dragon Tale Publishing, this book sits within the broader tradition of modern fantasy fiction. It draws on established tropes of royal quests and magical heritage found in contemporary genre literature.

⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks. Slow burn, but the burn is the point.
First order from this shop. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Already eyeing my next order.
