⭐ Reader reviews

Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. Already eyeing my next order.
A friend from my book club recommended it. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. It assumes some familiarity with the genre's tropes. Still worth having on the shelf.
Ordered it for Halloween and it came in time. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Good, with the caveats above.
Been meaning to get this one for a while. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
I read a lot of horror and I'm picky. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. My only quibble is that the middle third sags a little. Still worth having on the shelf.
