Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Belongs in any working kitchen.
Took a chance on it after reading the description here. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. Not a jump-scare book; it gets under the skin and stays there. Gorier than the description lets on, if that matters to you. Happy enough with the purchase.
Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. If you like this kind of cooking, don't hesitate.
Wanted something for October and it delivered. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one. The font runs small in this edition. Good, with the caveats above.
Got it as a gift for a friend who loves the genre. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. The binding held up to being carried around for a week.
Was skeptical at first. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. Already eyeing my next order.
First order from this shop. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Solid, if not essential.
