The Pen Pal

Holly Copella writes a horror thriller where psychic abilities collide with criminal investigation. Jolynn witnesses her best friend’s abduction through a vision, yet authorities dismiss her claims. She turns to Agent Harris Slade and his team to hunt the sadistic killer known as The Pen Pal. The narrative follows their desperate search for clues in a case that defies conventional logic. The story demands high stakes when Jolynn realizes she must enter the mind of the psychopath to stop the brutal killings. This psychic intrusion forces her to confront disturbing visions, including one that threatens her own lover. Copella structures the plot around this psychological tension, blending supernatural elements with police procedural details. The book contains scenes of gore and mild foul language but avoids graphic sex scenes. This novel suits readers who enjoy supernatural thrillers with a focus on psychic phenomena and serial killer investigations. It may not appeal to those sensitive to depictions of violence or those who prefer strictly realistic crime fiction without paranormal elements. Copella’s work remains grounded in the specific traditions of horror fiction that prioritize psychological dread over explicit content.
