📚 WHAT THE BOOK IS ABOUT

A 2009 facsimile reprint of Shirley Jackson's 1912 literary collection on Jesus.

The text functions as an archival preservation effort rather than a new critical analysis. Kessinger Publishing reproduced the original work to ensure its survival for future generations. The physical copy contains three hundred sixty-four pages bound in a format true to the original edition. Readers encounter the raw, unedited state of the 1912 publication, complete with all its historical artifacts. This approach prioritizes authenticity over cosmetic perfection. The content remains fixed within the realm of Literary Collections, offering a direct view into early twentieth-century scholarly or creative output regarding religious figures. The value lies in its status as a scarce antiquarian item. It provides access to a specific moment in publishing history without alteration. The inclusion of marginalia and marks allows for the study of how previous owners interacted with the text. Excellent find

Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. Belongs in any working kitchen.

This has been on my wishlist for months. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. Solid, if not essential.

A modern classic

Grabbed it for a long flight. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. Would buy from this store again.
