Wanted something for October and it delivered. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. If you like this kind of cooking, don't hesitate.
Was skeptical at first. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. Shipping was quick too.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. Not a jump-scare book; it gets under the skin and stays there. One of my better finds this year.
Took a chance on it after reading the description here. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. Solid, if not essential.
Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. It leans on old gothic bones and makes them creak convincingly. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. Shipping was quick too.
A friend from my book club recommended it. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. If you like this kind of cooking, don't hesitate.
