Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Well worth it.
Was skeptical at first. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. Recommended with reservations.
First order from this shop. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. Shipping was quick too.
Wanted something for October and it delivered. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. A keeper.
